Sugaring is an Egyptian method of hair removal. Sugaring is more likely to yield superior results to waxing. Sugar paste is not hot, so there is not risk of burning your skin. We apply the sugar paste by hand, there are no sticks and strips. This all-natural substance of sugar, lemon, and water will not adhere to live layers of the skin, it can only adhere to dead skin and hair. This is the reason why sugaring is much less discomforting than traditional waxing.
It is recommended and optimal: 1/4 inch or the length of a grain of rice. If you have been shaving, please no less than 8 days of growth for optimal results. If hair is too long, it will be trimmed for your comfort. **Not all Estheticians do this
Shower before your appointment and do not wear any lotions or oils on the day of your service.
Following your service, it’s important to keep the skin clean and dry. Please avoid activities that create excessive heat or sweating, such as workouts or strenuous exercise. For the first 24 hours, stay away from public facilities including tanning beds, locker rooms, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and lake or ocean water. No Lotions, Potions, or Repetitive Motions.
Keep your skin clean, cool, friction-free, product-free, bacterial and irritation-free for at least 24 hours after your service. When you bathe, keep the water at cooler temperatures and run it cold at the end. If you experience inflammation, apply cold.
We highly recommend you read our After Care page before your service.

Avoid applying heavy lotions or oils. Be mindful of the products you use on your skin, as many soaps can be drying; a diluted Castile soap, such as Dr. Bronner’s, is a gentle option.
Between appointments, regular exfoliation is key. It is recommend to use
a mechanical exfoliant, like an exfoliating washcloth or body brush, to help prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth skin.
For best results, maintenance visits every 4–6 weeks are encouraged. Follow-up appointments are typically quicker and more comfortable than the first session. Loyal clients also receive a reduced rate as a thank-you for continued care.
Because hair is being removed from the root, brief discomfort at the base of the hair shaft is normal. This sensation typically lasts only a few seconds. For clients who have been shaving, the long-term smoothness and reduced regrowth generally far outweigh the temporary discomfort experienced during the service.
Occasional physiological responses, such as erections, can occur and are not considered unusual. These responses are managed professionally and without emphasis. Sugaring is strictly a non-sensual, non-sexual service, and all interactions must remain within clear professional boundaries. Maintaining appropriate conduct ensures a comfortable and respectful environment for both client and practitioner.
Hygiene is often more about comfort than appearance. Body hair retains heat and odor, which can contribute to self-consciousness, especially in hard-to-reach areas that are difficult to trim or shave effectively. Traditional shaving can also lead to ingrown hairs, razor burn, and short-lived results.
Sugaring offers a smoother finish and longer-lasting outcome. As the hair grows back, it typically becomes softer, less dense, and more refined over time—often resulting in noticeable hair reduction with consistent treatments.
Cancellations or rescheduling made less than 24 hours before the appointment time will result in the forfeit of the $25 deposit. This policy is in place to protect the time reserved and the travel required to provide your service.
Clients who do not arrive for their appointment without prior notice will forfeit their deposit and may be required to pay a full service fee before booking future appointments.
Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may need to reschedule, and the deposit may be forfeited depending on schedule availability.
• Beard Area (chin, jawline, full beard)
Beard hair is extremely coarse, dense, and deeply rooted. Sugaring in this area can cause skin lifting, bruising, and irritation due to the strength and growth pattern of the hair.
• Nostrils
The inside of the nose contains delicate mucous membranes that should never be exposed to hair removal. Removing internal nasal hair increases the risk of infection and disrupts the nose’s natural filtration system.
• Ears
The skin around the ears is thin and sits over sensitive cartilage. Sugaring this area carries a higher risk of tearing or irritation and is not recommended.
These guidelines ensure all services are performed safely, comfortably, and within professional best practices. Thank you for understanding.
Sugaring is a gentle and effective method of hair removal, but it is not suitable for everyone. Please do not book a sugaring service if any of the following apply:
• You have taken Accutane within the past 9 months
• You currently have a sunburn, open wound, active rash, or skin irritation
• You have received cosmetic injectables or permanent makeup within the last 6 weeks
• You have recently given birth (within 6 weeks)
• You are taking antibiotics or medications that may thin the skin or increase photosensitivity
• You have a new tattoo or piercing less than 6 weeks old
• You have certain skin conditions, such as hidradenitis suppurativa, or known sensitivities/allergies to sucrose or citric acid
If you have any pre-existing skin conditions or are unsure whether sugaring is right for you, please speak with your healthcare provider before scheduling a service.
